How the Germany Points System Works

To get the Germany Opportunity Card, you need at least 6 points based on skills, experience, age, language, and adaptability.

Recognized degree in Germany → 4 points
Partial recognition or related degree → 3 points

5+ years in last 7 years → 3 points
2+ years in last 5 years → 2 points

B2 or higher → 4 points
B1 → 3 points
A2 → 2 points
A1 → 1 point

If you hold advanced English proficiency (e.g., IELTS/TOEFL) → -1 point

Below 35 years → 2 points
35–40 years → 1 point

Education/Training in Germany → 1 point
